The Shelt’Air range meets the requirements of AFTES GT12, EN 16191, and ITA WG5 standards, with two configurations: an underground emergency refuge chamber for tunnels and an underground emergency refuge chamber for mines.
What Is a Shelt’Air Emergency Refuge Chamber?
An underground emergency refuge chamber is a secure, smoke- and toxic-gas-tight space where personnel can shelter while awaiting extraction in the event of a fire, explosion, or gas release.
The Shelt’Air range automatically maintains optimal air quality and a pressurized atmosphere for several hours, with up to 72 hours of autonomy, thanks to the AirGuardian© automatic control technology.
